Becoming An Approved Food Vendor
Sonoma State University’s Food Policy allows businesses who have been vetted and approved through its procurement process to provide food services for internal campus departments and student groups under most circumstances.
Approved food vendors are for internal use only. External groups must use Culinary Services for all of their catering needs.
Process
Sonoma State University invites qualified vendors to submit an application in response to Request for Application for Approved Food Vendor for catering services for a variety of business catering needs on an “as needed” basis.
Vendors may apply at any time throughout the year. In order to get the most out of your $250 application fee, apply annually during open enrollment on May 1 to June 30. This will give you access to provide services to campus from July 1 to June 30. For vendors that are interested in applying prior to the open enrollment date, please contact Trudee Herman at trudee.herman@sonoma.edu.
Note: There is a $250 non-refundable application fee for approved vendors that would like to deliver and cater on campus. If the vendor also offers a Mobile Food Facility (MFF) this would be covered in the $250. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee for vendors that solely offer a Mobile Food Facilities (MFF).
