Outdoor Spaces
Sonoma State’s campus is filled with beautiful scenery that is sure to enhance your event and leave guests admiring the location. With fields perfect for athletic games, an intimate outdoor theatre for concerts and performances, and vast green space perfect for 5K runs, festivals, and social gatherings, SSU’s outdoor spaces can’t be beat!
Arbor and Lakes
Enjoy the views of the lakes on SSU’s campus with your group. The Arbor and Lakes is 70,502 square feet with a view of an outdoor stage situated on a knoll. This vast green space is located between two lakes and includes a 40’ x 40’ cement pad covered by a tent and access to power. There is easy access from the parking lot to the tent.
Alumni Amphitheater
The Alumni Amphitheater is located between Salazar Hall and Person Theater and can accommodate up to 200 attendees in an outdoor theater setting.
Main Quad
This large grassy space is great for outdoor events and activities. The closest parking lots are G and E and the maximum capacity is 2,000. This space does have noise restrictions during academic hours because it is surrounded by classrooms.
Stevenson Main Quad and Breezeway
Centrally located on campus this space consists of a combination of a large lawn and surrounded by stamped concrete. Great for tabling and catching the attention of students leaving classes. This space does have noise restrictions during academic hours because it is surrounded by classrooms.
Salazar Plaza
This concrete space is ideal for fairs and the maximum capacity is 500. This space does have noise restrictions during academic hours because it is surrounded by classrooms.
